Beginning November 2024, we are delighted to announce that our new website is now officially operational. Among the numerous enhancements implemented, we've made considerable upgrades to our membership system.

With these improvements, all returning members are required to update their passwords following the recent upgrade that introduced enhanced security measures. As this process is already underway, you should have received an email with a link to create a new password. Please utilize the link provided in the email to reset your password and regain access to your account.

What has changed with my subscription? / I received emails regarding my subscription, what has been changed?

We would like to express our gratitude for your subscription to one of our tiered memberships.

In light of the substantial update, we've established a completely new server to accommodate it. Consequently, all previously stored financial data has been securely deleted along with the former version of our website. You should've recently received two emails concerning your tiered membership subscription. The first email was a cancellation notice for your original membership at our previous site, while the second confirmed the reactivation of your subscription at our new platform. For your security, we did not transfer any financial information to the new subscription, as we do not store or have access to your payment details.

As a result, your new subscription will be active for a full 30 days starting from November 1, 2024. At the end of this 30-day period, you will be prompted to renew your membership by providing the payment information you wish to associate with your account. Please be aware that some of our returning active subscriptions were scheduled to renew mid-month; however, due to the 30-day period granted to all returning subscribers, you have received additional days at no cost.

We sincerely appreciate your continued support and understanding. We are excited to present the enhancements of our new site to you and are grateful for your loyalty as a member of the Official CIRCUS Magazine website.

Can I get CIRCUS Magazine at the newsstand?

While working in bookstores, I learned all of the ways that magazine companies were being stolen from and I’m determined to not let that happen to CIRCUS. When our quarterly issues begin, they’ll be available through online ordering only for the first year. Then we’ll try sending a few copies to outlets.

Why watermarks?

We use watermarks outside of our website to show that those pages came from us, the official CIRCUS Magazine. Without them, a number of Circus “tribute” sites would quickly copy and use those images for their own benefit without crediting the source.

"I hope the DVD-ROM of Circus Magazine is coming out soon, as well as some special retrospective issue. Creem Magazine is doing all of this, but Circus Magazine was my favorite."

Accepted Answer

CREEM Magazine was only around from 1969 - 1989, just 20 years, compared to CIRCUS' 40 years of publications, (1966 - 2006). So it's a M-U-C-H bigger job than what CREEM has done. Keep that in mind along with the other factors that are going on between the two owners of CIRCUS Magazine (GR and JW) - some of which I can speak of and other problems that I can't. We have what we need to complete the job. It's the final negotiations that are being worked out.
